I am looking for a family member SAMUEL FORREST who I understand from family letters died in Edinburgh around 1830 - 1831. Is there any way to find out if this is correct without knowing where in Edinburgh he lived? >From the A2A I found a listing for him saying he had SERVED IN GARRISON STAFF GILBRALTAR, 26TH FOOT REGIMENT and was discharged in 1825. I understand that these records are held by the NATIONAL ARCHIVES at Kew. Is there anyone out there who goes to Kew who could make copies for me if I give them the REEFERENCE NO'S?
