Causewayside is still there - it's a fairly major road in Edinburgh. There is also still an entry into a block of tenements off Causewayside called Norval's Place (my husband drives by there on the way to work, and isn't completely sure of the spelling, but it may have changed at any rate). There is no "Norval" or "Norwall" on my modern map of Edinburgh, but this is probably because it's no longer a motor road. Causewayside may have been spelled as two words on your 1901 census, but it will definitely have been "side", not "cide". The address is probably somewhat redundant; "198 Causewayside" and "Norwal's Place" are probably the same thing. Flat 8 will have been one of the doors in the stair at no. 198. Finally, they may have lived in more than two rooms - mostly the census indicates how many of the rooms had windows, and not all of them will have done. Many people living in tenements at the turn of the century, however, did in fact live in a "room and a kitchen" or a "single end" (one room). Whole families, including grandparents, often shared just two rooms, and even with the "luxury" of the "room" added to living space, it was often deemed too expensive to heat, so was only used for sleeping. Hope this is of some help.
