Um, now I am confused. If it is a UK cert there should be more info on there which will show which Newtown/Newton it is. But from the original query I am assuming that it is Newtown in Australia. And if that's the case is this a part of Australia would the parents names normally be on the death cert - have they been left blank perhaps? Anyway, Battersea is in London, south of the Thames. Famous for its power station and the cat and dogs home. There are at least 2 Wellingtons - one in Somerset and one in Shropshire aka Salop. With a name like Thomas, the odds are shortened to the Shropshire one, which is pretty near the Welsh border. These places are of course all in England, Edinburgh of course is in Scotland and 60 miles from England by road which on this tiny island counts for a lot.
