I am looking for a possible family connection and was hoping someone might have the 1851 census of EDINBURGH and could check please and see if there is a listing for a ROBERT FORREST, SCULPTOR approx age 40 and his wife MARGARET approx age 45. I THINK he died at CARLTON HILL, EDINBURGH as there is a listing on the free part of SP for an INVENTORY & SETTLEMEMT in 1853. I found the 1841 census info on FreeCen and although the 1851 is also supposed to be there I could not find them. Thank you Dorothy

Uh, I did a simple "Google" search by typing in "Robert Forrest+Scottish sculptor" and the following link came up: http://glasgowsculpture.com/pg_biography.php?sub=forrest_r You mean to tell me that this had never occurred to you? In addition, it was really easy to find him on Ancestry.co.uk; however, I don't think his primary occupation was "sculptor" in 1851. That's probably why you were having problems. Interesting, isn't it, that I have never even heard of him before.
