Is anyone going to Edinburgh Record Office that could spare me a couple of minutes looking up a date of birth. I have a Samuel Elder who died 22 January 1975 aged 68 he is buried in Tarquair or Peebles. Samuel was supposed to born 1907 in England but there is no record of his birth I have looked at the records two years either side of 1907. I wonder if his age on the Headstone was a mistake, I'm hopping it will have his date of birth on his death certificate. Samuel parents where George Stewart Elder & Annie Barthram.
