I have been trying for the last three years to find my husband's 2 x great grandmother. Her name was Jane Vearty(Varty) and she married Robert Alexander (Solicitor) in July 1820 at St Andrew's, Edinburgh. They had at least three sons. I can find no trace of her on the 1841, 51 or 61 census. Robert died 1855 and she was mentioned on his death certificate but not listed as desceased. I believe she may have died somewhere between the birth of the third son in 1825 and 1841. Does anyone have any information they could share or any suggestions as to where to go next?
