Terri - How are you viewing the census ? If it was a transcription, they may not have been able to read the handwriting and its under BRIGHT or NEIGHT. Spelling could be WRITE or RIGHT. You never know on some of the mistakes. The family could have been elsewhere on that day - workhouse duties off grounds or even in a healthcare facility. Has someone gotten access to the handwritten census images for that poorhouse and checked manually for this family ? A researcher could do it quickly if the address of the poorhouse was known. I am just wondering about the raised in the poorhouse bit. Margaret could simply have been there for lying in? Or is there other evidence for this?
