Hi everyone, This is my first time on this list site. I have few details but I'll tell you what I have and maybe someone can help me. I have: William GRAHAM, seaman. According to old diary sailing during reign of George IV (1820s?) son: John GRAHAM, b. 1822 'around Edinburgh' . The 1822 date comes from consistent census records and family records. The censuses only ever have him as born in 'Scotland'...not helpful. The 'around Edinburgh' comes from the diary. The William Graham, seaman, comes from John's marriage certificate. (The diary had said John's father was John Graham, Ships Captain...hmmm.) John was married in 1844 in Warwick, England. He was married in an Anglican church to an English girl BUT buried in unconsecrated ground (he must have been CoS?) in Brunswick St cemetery, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire in 1874. He was a tailor by trade. John's 3 daughter's names (to help trace his mother) were: Lily, Mary, Margaret (in order). I have been on Scotlandspeople and other sites but just end up confused. John Graham is a reasonably popular name... And I am really wanting to find my Scottish roots. Maybe someone out there can take a brick out of my brickwall. Many thanks, Trisha (nee. Graham) New Zealand.
