Hi! I am new to this list and have recently found the marriage of Edward McGie and Anne Drummond on Scotland's People site. Edward and Anne were married 15 May 1808, Old Church Parish, Edinburgh. It states "Edward McGie of this parish and Anne Drummond of Kilmarnock" and also states that Edward was a Merchant. I also found the birth of 2 of their 3 children; Daniel in 1809 and Mary in 1811. They also had a son named Edward born 1817 in Scotland. They emigrated to Quebec about 1820 where Edward farmed in Rawdon, Quebec. He sent his sons to school in Quebec City and Daniel became a prominent businessman there. Mary married John Eveleigh in Rawdon and they were my 3rd gt-grandparents. I am looking for parents and family of Edward McGie and Anne Drummond. Anyone have any ideas? Marian Sargent
