Hi Vern, In the days before scotlandspeople and Ancestry.com were available (to provide information but also turning precious sharing of free information into a multi million £ $ business!) it was possible to look through the census records at local libraries, record offices and family history centres. Presumably it still is and in a very satisfying way. Now you have identified the page you can find it on the filmed original pages (or ask someone to find it) and print it off for the price of a photocopy. Or am I missing something here? Best Wishes, Jane ps I see that you have now found what you wanted but perhaps others might like to know there are always free ways of helping each other. <snip> ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vern Prescott" <[email protected]> Subject: [SCT-EDINBURGH] 1871 Census - STENSON > Hi everyone. > > I have just joined this list to seek some advice. > > My question is, "Where/how can I get a copy of the census page or a > transcript of the page?"
