Good morning Shyama, In 1885 58 Melville Street was occupied by a George Auldjo Jamieson . No occupation is given in PO Directory and can#t find im in 1881 census "Scotsman" for 26th August carries a "death" notice DEATHS At 58 Melville St on 23rd inst DAVID HEWIT aged two months fifteen days only son of the late DAVID GIRVAN HEWIT of Messr's J.Hewit & Sons, Edinburgh & London Hewit details J.Hewit & Sons Tanners , Currier's and Leather Merchants 6,8,10 Niddry Street City Tanworks 125 High Street House : 13 Grange Loan Edinburgh. In 1891 census she is living as a widow of " private means" ,age 35, at 4 Suffolk Road , Edinburgh. Also If you contact the Scottish Genealogy Society http://www.scotsgenealogy.com/ They have a team working at the present moment recording the grave stones in Grange Cemetery and they may be able to help with some details .
