South Bridge in Edinburgh stretches north from the University buildings on the corner of Chambers Street to the junction with Princes Street. It forms a junction with the High Street (Royal Mile) on the way. It is lined by shops and hotels on both sides, except when it crosses over Waverley (railway) Station - which tends to be the only time when you realise it is a bridge.
