Good afternoon Marilyn, Had a quick look and Agnes ( m to Robert Aitken) was the daughter of ALEXANDER GIBSON and ROBINA/RABINA ( It looks like) BOGIE Born 6th March 1766 , St Cuthbert's . Suggest you stick with St Cuthbert's !! There were 10 ecclesiastical parishes , Tolbooth, High Church, Trinity College, Old Church, Tron, New North, St Johns, Lady Yesters, Old Greyfriars, New Greyfriars., within the old city of Edinburgh in the early part of the 19th century; these formed the 'civil' parish of Edinburgh. Births, deaths and marriages from all these parishes were collated and recorded in a single series of registers. This is what is often known as 'Edinburgh Parish' St Stephens, St Marys, St Georges, St Andrews.were added when the "New Town" was built. Trust you are all well Regards John John D. Stevenson Edinburgh SNIP > Good to hear from you > If I was looking for their births where would I look? St Cuthberts or what > other presbyterian churches.

Hi John, You were so right. Certainly has Rabina ... but one of the witnesses is James Bogie gardener Now according to LDS Alexander Gibson and Rabina Bogie were married at St Cuthberts on the 16 Nov 1765 but that won't come up for me on Scotlands People no Alexander Gibson got married in Edinburgh and none of the others, that I paid my 1 credit point for, is him. I even tried "Alex" but no go. Any suggestions out there would be appreciated. cheers Marilyn
