Making sure all the requests sent to me are for SAINT CUTHBERTs parish only. I have access to only St. Cuthbert's Marriages, 1842-1849. To check the IGI for all Marriages in that parish, use this URL and scroll down to Edinburgh parish....its one of the sub parishes for it. Select the M column for Marriages and find the year you wish to view. Morning Meg, Thank you for your generous offer - but I will withdraw my request re GRAYs. I looked at the IGI batch numbers and there are more than 60 GRAY marriages between 1842 and 1849 St St. Cuthberts! A few too many me thinks!!! I'll second Meg that Hugh Wallis's site is really useful - I had it from Talking Scot a while back and it's been a great help. I should however have said: the marriage of John Sinclair Cunningham, 7 June 1845, is one of 'mine'.. there are several other Cunninghams that I don't know about as it would depend on the details. I do know that a good few of 'my' Cunninghams were associated with St Cuthberts and there are some buried there. Hi Kathy, I am also researching Pickerings supposedly from Scotland but my Jane Pickering ended up marrying in Down, Ireland at Magheralin to Thomass Moffat who also supposedly is from Scotland. They were married in the early 1800's. So probably they were born about. 1785 or so.
