    3. There seem to be two words there - second one looks like 'milne'. I am wondering if this was a wa(u)lk mill. Judy On 16 Oct 2008, at 11:12, CandROverson wrote: >> Thomas Young in Collinton >> Walk??

    3. Think I have cracked it. The letters seem to be Br-ghlie. I went to the Ancestry 1841 index and put in farmer as occupation in Lasswade then went thru the results. There is a farm called Burghlee. It is quiet common for letters to get transposed like this eg Briddes in Chaucer is Birds. Bruntsfield is Burntfield etc Judy On 16 Oct 2008, at 11:12, CandROverson wrote: > "Bonyh.." could be Bonnyrigg. > > Rhoda > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Watson Family" <watsonb@iinet.com.au> > To: <sct-edinburgh@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2008 8:50 AM > Subject: [SCT-EDINBURGH] Re Marriage fee Dollars? > > >> Hi, >> More questions.
