You would find them under their maiden names - if they are in fact dead! Deaths are shown up to 2006. Sometimes a death is registered by a son or daughter so that would give you another name, and where appropriate, the name of a spouse. Good luck. Sheila K-C
Thank you for your reply Sheila. I have searched for Annie and Ethel's deaths on Scotlandspeople but can not find them. It is frustrating that we cannot look up marriages later than 1930, although we can look up births and deaths. Can anyone recommend a magazine or newspaper where I may be able to put a notice in the hope that Annie or Ethel's families or friends may see it? In the past I have seen some publications that have a Contact section.
