    3. Hello, I am interested in your photo of "Cowan bay" which says as described in photo 3, which I could not find. I have lots of Cowan rellies originating in the Inveresk area that moved to other parts of Edinburgh, and would like to see who is in your bay. Any way to get a close up or find your description? 3. There are two rows of these bays to the northern side of the kirkyard. "southleith3" shows one of them, which includes the Cowan bay. I dont know any of the history but suspect this is simply a row of burial plots sold around the same time. A kind of upgrade to the usual lair purchase. I dont know what the roof was made of, or even if the thing had a roof. But there is certainly a fair bit of space. There is no close up as such, those are the only pics I took. But I will send you a copy off list and you can see if you can blow it up. I can read the name GRINDLAY as well as COWAN, and what could be 'Lillias HORSBURGH'. I just googled this name and found that someone in NZ is researching the family.
