Hello I am seeking information about a Rescue Home in Edinburgh, where in the 1871 census I have found a Catherine STRUTHERS aged 16 born Glasgow.  Does anyone know if there are any records or documents relating to this "establishment", in particular an Admission Register or something like that, and if so, where they are lodged. According to a book called "Ordnance Gazetteer of Scotland: A Survey of Scottish Topography, Statistical, Biographical, Historical" edited by Francis H. Groome, published in 1882-85, this was a Rescue and Probationary Home for Fallen Women, instituted in 1861, at St. John's Hill.
