Thought I would post my brick wall and see in anyone has any tips or ideas to help. I have a marriage between Peter McPhilips and Catherine McCall in Edinburgh 25.11.1832. I have seen the entry on microfilm at Central Library, it is very brief. He was a labourer residing in Meal market Stairs, Greyfriars Parish she was residing in what looks like Duniplace Parish (Dunipace?) There are no ages or parents names and I don't know where to start with the 1841 census. They are the parents of my ggf Mathew Philip, named and given as deceased on his marriage cert, but as yet I have not been able to find his birth cert. I have one possible birth of a Philip child born 1837 at Inveresk, no name, sex or parents names given. Does anyone know what this is likely to mean? I have looked at LDS and their marriage is there but no children listed. I have checked Scots-origins online and can't find their deaths. Any and all help would be gratefully received! thanks Carol
