Edinburgh Post Offices directories are available on fiche from The Scottish Genealogy Society in Edinburgh. http://www.scotsgenealogy.com/ Some of the Edinburgh directories also include Leith, and Newhaven might be there too, but I couldn't say for sure. All the ones I've looked at include Leith and Newhaven. Some at least have listing for the county as well. I'm not sure about the pre-1800 ones.
