Contact Carol Hepburn at chepburn@uswest.net Hello, all, I have a similar query. The address I am interested in is 11 East Thistle St, Edinburgh. My G-G-Grandfather, Lewis Matthew Gregory JOHNSTON, was a teacher of fencing and gymnastics and held classes at that address, according to the Post Office Directory from 1830's to about 1850's. In 1998 a friend took a photo for me of a building in Thistle St, but didn't know at the time that there might be an East or West Thistle St. Any help would be most gratefully received.
