Hello, Am new to this list and trying to find some trace of my 8X Grandfather., Andrew RENNEY. He appeared at Gateshead, County Durham, England in 1716 when he married Elizabeth HILLS and later the christening of their son and daughter. However, there is no record of him to be found in the area before the marriage.No birth, family or who his parents may have been. We feel he probably came south from Scotland as both Andrew and RENNEY are Scottish names.Right now we are at a complete standstill until we can find some info. on Andrew.Any info. or ideas gratefully received. Thankyou. Also, I have ONE front row center ticket to the Edinburgh Tattoo for Tuesday, August 14/ 2001., best seat in the house, and am unable to go.
