Hi David, The only older BROWN that I can see on the New Town index is: 3462 BROWN George HD M 70 Pauper, Formerly Gardener 3 127 EDN At Cuthbert's 19 12 59 The ref. for 127 is Saunders Street. I apologise for interpreting the wrong ref. no. for Andrew BROWN it should have read 7 = Thistle Street and ofcourse HS was the house No. = 33. I only have these pages for BROWNS in New Town and am still looking for my John and Margaret BROWN. Cheers Agnes
