Has anyone come across the name McSALLY? In 1870 Edward McSALLY (a Staff Sergeant in the Highland Borderers) married Eliza McQUEEN in Stirling They continued to live in Stirling and had several daughters. Unfortunately in 1886 both Edward and Eliza died and the 4 oldest girls were placed in an orphanage in Edinburgh. The youngest was 'adopted' by Michael and Bridget KERR. Annie Patricia (b. 1880) married my grandfather Creighton McCLELLAN in Edinburgh but I would dearly like to find out what happened to the other sisters: Christina (b. 1878), Helen (b. 1882), Catherine (b. 1883) and Elizabeth (b. 1886, adopted). Apparently there were also several boys named Edward Duncan but they all died in infancy. Regards, Sally Wain
