    3. I could spit, I had this lot tracked down on the film but it wouldn't print and I pressed the wrong button and the whole reel rewound. Didnt have any more time so I am afraid I can only give you the index entry which is: Taylor William HD M 40 Labourer LGW Bathgate (Book 20 page 10 sche 49) Taylor Mary WI M 39 DNB Cumbernauld Taylor Alexander SO U 16 DNB Cumbernauld Taylor William SO U 14 DNB Cumbernauld Taylor Christopher DA 9 [?name or gender] Scholar STI Falkirk (Book 20 page 11 shed 49) Taylor John SO 5 Scholar MLN Edinburgh Taylor Helen DA 2 NBL Tweedmouth The three youngest were on the next page and but from the codes you can tell they are the same family. The street address was number 44 which is the code for Campbell's Close, Big Jack's Close being Code 31. But it would seem pretty certain this is them. Campbell's Close was heavily populated and had no house numbers altho you can tell separate households from the schedule numbers. Altho I didnt notice him when I was looking at the film the index shows a Robert TAYLOR on the same page - unmarried 29 yr old shoemaker born Edinburgh. He was a lodger, dont know who with. As you can see Helen was born in NBL which I think is Northumberland. Which is rather handy since this would of course put her into the Civil Reg timeframe. from the brief look I had at the film I dont think there was any more info to be gleaned. 3. Hi Judy, what a frustration for you. You made me chuckle with your expression but I could appreciate how maddening it was. Where did you find the 1851 census? Can I order that from LDS? I am tracking MCCaull, McCall, Hodge from Edinburgh. ----- Original Message ----- From: "J A Olsen" <Copywriter@tesco.net> To: <SCT-EDINBURGH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2001 10:52 AM Subject: [EDB] TAYLOR 1851 census > I could spit, I had this lot tracked down on the film but it wouldn't print > and I pressed the wrong button and the whole reel rewound.
