Hello, Chris, re: B&B's in Edinburgh. About two years ago my husband and I stayed at Anyetree Guest House, 12 Duddingston Crescent, Edinburgh, EH15 3AS, 'phone 0131 620 0105. It was run by the very nice Lowing family. We had a large front room upstairs overlooking a park, and the charge was about GBP20 a night, but of course this could have changed by now. The big advantage was that the bus stop was right outside the front gate. We had travelled up from London through York (can't remember the motorway No.) and Duddingston Crescent was on the way into Edinburgh so it was easy to find. We had a very pleasant stay there and the Lowings were very helpful and friendly. Have a good trip (wish I was coming with you) and good luck with your research. Dornie in Melbourne, Australia.
