I am new to the list. My particular interest is that my gg grandparents, John & Elizabeth DONALD were living in Edinburgh from about 1859-68. He was a sergeant in the Royal Artillery. It is believed he was a warden in the military prison there. Their daughter, Minnie Donald was born in 1866-7. Could someone please suggest how this info could be confirmed. For instance, if the 1861 Census is indexed, how could this be referenced. Rhoda Oz
