Hi all, I am new to this list, most of my DOBSON's are from the Yorkshire area, but my g/g/grandfather it seems was born in Edinburgh. He is John DOBSON b 1818 in Edinburgh, married to Faith CHAPMAN b 1819, in Scalby, Yorkshire, married in Hull in 1845. They had 4 children Edward b 1846 Edinburgh, John William b 1848, Scarborough, Charles b 1855, Scarborough, and Oratio, b 1862, Scarborough. Would anybody have any of these people in their family tree. Unfortunately I haven't any idea of where in Edinburgh John DOBSON might have been born. The only other information that I have of him from the 1881 census, is that he formally was a draper Could SKS help me with this please, and put me in the right direction.
