    3. To all those on my contact list - I am sorry I may have passed you a virus unknowingly. It comes from a commercial source, but I don't know where I got it. Here's how to get rid of it. 1 Go to 'start', then to 'find or search' depending on your computer 2 In the 'search for file/folders', typein sulfnbk.exe - this is the virus programme 3 in the look in bos make sure you are searching driveC. 4 Hit search/find button 5 If this file shows up(it has an ugly black icon) DO NOT OPEN IT. 6 RIGHT click on the file- go down to 'delete' and left click 7 Say yes when it asks if you want to send it to the Recycle Bin 8 go to your Desktop (where all your icons are)and double click on the Recycle Bin 9 RIGHT click on 'sulfnbk.exe' and delete again or empty the Bin It is spread by your address book, so if you find it contact all concerned. It is nasty in that it lies dormant for 14 days and then wipes otu the hard drive. Apologies, hope none of you will find it, but where did I get it from? Regards Lizzie D.

    3. This is not a virus....do not delete this file! This message is a virus hoax that has been passed around quite regularly. Please any of you, before posting virus messages post them to the list owner and then we will be able to carry on with our genealogy on the list. Or, better still, check out http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html to check whether any virus is actually a threat or not. It apparently is a rule of the rootsweb mailing lists that viri get reported to the list owner, not the list. I'm sorry if this sounds rather hard but I am sick of all the hoax messages passed around especially at a time when we are still vulnerable to real virus problems. These hoax virus messages are as much a nuisance as the real virus. Jeni Simpson, Christchurch, New Zealand
