James Justice, 1698-1763, was the first person to successfully ripen a pineapple in Scotland and fell victim to "Tulip Madness", dying bankrupt. He was also principal Clerk to the Court of Session in Edinburgh, per a 1999 gardening book review I found. Does anyone on this list have records, indications, proof, hunches, etc. of who his parents were (I'm particularly interested in that), if he had siblings, and who his widow was? She had to sell his precious plants and bulbs after his death. Thanks for any assistance, Mary Lou Branson in Fort Worth, Texas
