Hi Margaret, In the 1904-5 Edinburgh Directory, specifically the Churcg section, there is no clergyman called Hill listed. There are two cathedrals in Edinburgh, Roman Catholic and Episcopal, plus the High Kirk of St Giles (Church of Scotland) often called St Giles Cathedral. If you could find which church he belonged to, perhaps their records of clergy would be of some help. Stuart.
