Hello List: I read with interest your exerpt from the book by M'Combie. In our (Stewart) family, we have long understood that our ancestors came from Appin as retainers with a women who married on Lochtayside, and lived near Lawers. She was known as the Lady of Lawers and many of her prophesies came true. Our family name was McCombich before it was Stewart. I have not heard of the connection with Clan McIntosh before, although there were certainly McIntoshes around Aberfeldy and district. I wonder if there is any connection betwee McCombich's and M'Combie. Margaret in Toronto
