Does anyone have access to, or tell me where I might find, Edinburgh Post Office or other directories for some years between 1878 and about 1890? I am trying to learn more about William NORRIE and his career, and pinpoint when he emigrated to South Africa. It appears he left before the 1891 census. William was a teacher, and was living in Abercromby Place, St. Mary's, in 1881 census. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris, U.S.A.
