To the listers Have been unable to locate any information on --- (1) Catharina's mother? (We have no surname)?---- or on her father (2) John SPENCE (Painter) of Edinburgh the father of ---(3) Catharina Spence---(4) David OGILVY (Painter) of Edinburgh who married Catharina Spence on 2nd July 1801 at Tolbooth Church Parish Edinburgh--- (5) and no imformation on (4) Davids father---David lived at "Burnet's Close, House 312 Lawnmarket Edinburgh" (as according to the Post Office Annual Directory 1820-1821). David and Catharina had a son David Ogilvy born 1804 who did his apprenticeship at The Signet Law Firm Edinburgh starting on 26th July 1832, graduated to Solicitor and in 1839 was appointed by the British Government as Crown Solicitor in Australia.. All we have is on Catharina's father of Edinburgh and husband that they were painters. In 1820 to 1821 the postal Address of David Ogilvy shows House 312 Lawn Market, Burnet Close Edinburgh ( his name shown as Ogilvie miss spelt, should have been Ogilvy ) We have a copy of David/Catharina's marriage certificate and postal registers from which we obtained the information as shown above. a.. David (b1804) did his apprenticeship at the Signet and according to family history he was a writer at the Signet, and in This is where we are up to and trying to locate or find further details of other children of David/Chatarina and their parents details.---[Numbers are 1---2---3---4---5 are the requirements] Any help or guidance to where we go from here would be appreciated.
