I am related by marriage to the late Rev Fred Levison, second son of Sir Leon Levison (1881-1936). Sir Leon's father was Rabbi Nahum, a distinguished Jew, and Leon's brother was the Rev Nahum Levison who became a Church of Scotland minister and theological scholar. I believe the Rev Nahum Levison died in 1968. I never knew either Sir Leon Levison or the Rev Nahum Levison, but I have before me as I write a biography of Sir Leon, entitled 'Christian and Jew, Leon Levison' which contains a great deal of information about both men. If Ian Russell is able to obtain the book (published in 1989), he may find the information he seeks.
