Website is busy We are pleased to say that since the launch of the Family History Center Website, www.ellisislandrecords.org, our site has been at full capacity every second since the launch. Users who are unable to get into the Website are now receiving a message indicating the site is busy and they should try again later. Furthermore, we are working with our sponsor Compaq Computer to increase capacity within the next few days. We are aware of the full gamut of problems, especially the registration, membership and international zip code bugs that many users maybe experiencing. Rest assured we are working diligently to service you. We apologize and encourage everybody to please come back at a later date. The ship manifests are currently only from 1892 (opening of Ellis) to 1924 and only for the Port of New York. No determination has been made yet, regarding other years or ports.
