This is my first posting to this list as I am hoping to get information about a relative and the geography. Eliza CARRIGHAN was born in July, 1879, in Lawflat, Abercom, Scotland, County of Lintetttgon (this is what I believe was on an old paper). Perhaps this is the parish of Abercorn in the county of Linlithgow (West Lothian)? A look at the 1881 census and her birth certificate should give lots of information.
