He was a Congregational minister in Elgin, Scotland for 46 years, retiring two years before his death in 1855 at 74 years of age. He was married in the mid 1820s to a Catherine Miller from ?. Suspect he was born in or near Isle of Barra - had brothers Norman, Angus and James, all of whom emigrated to Cape Breton, and other siblings. Looking for parernts and birthplace of Neil, as well as any other info available, including date and place of marriage. I do not think that Neil and Catherine had any children. Catherine was probably still alive in 1855. All specific information given here is documented.
