Hi Dorothy, Any connection to a FORREST? My ancestor John FORREST was born in Haddington on the 21 August 1808, the son of James FORREST and Helen PRINGLE, who married on the 2nd Nov 1798 in Haddington. Helen was the daughter of Thomas PRINGLE and Isabel KNOX. If there is a connection I would love to hear more from you. I have the descendants of the above John FORREST who died in South Africa and would be prepared to share what I have with you, or anyone else for that matter, who has an interest in the FORREST family in Haddington. Conrod, I think I have spoken to you before about our Forrest's, but were your's in Haddington or HaddingtonSHIRE? I have loads of Forrests from Tranent, but none so far from Haddington!
