Hi Mary Jo, I have found most of my information from marriage/death certificates in Australia and then a couple of marriage certificates in Scotland-local parish records. The rest from IGI. Sorry I haven't been able to offer any great insights. The Scottish on both my side and my husbands sides remain elusive to say the least.
