Fiona If I may come in on this I too am looking for HOGGs in East Lothian. My ggrandfather was a William Hogg born in the Parish of Gifford 1844/45 and later married a Hellen Scott at Stoneypath in the Parish of Whittingehame in 1872. His father mygggrandfather was a James Hogg (employed as a Groom) who had married Isabella Thomson in1834 in the Parish of St Cuthberts, Edinburgh I have not managed to find out any more about James Hogg or any siblings for William Hogg yet. I would be most grateful for any info that might relate to them.
