Hi Dorothy, Does your Pringle's include a Euphemia (Janet) Pringle who married Thomas Elder in Covington and Thankerton, Lanark, in July 1840. Euphemia and Thomas are my gr gr grandparents. Judy, I have several Pringles from Carmichael and Lesmahagow! Not too far away from Covington & Thankerton. Have you come across any from these area's? Hi All . My interests are Purves and Mitchell My g.grandfather James Purves married Jane Mitchell 1849 in the parish of Edrom. James was born abt.1826. Cant find any record of birth. According to his death cert (Sept 24 1883)his parents were William Purves and Jessie ? In the Ayton M.Is. No.306 In memory of WILLIAM PURVES died 1866 aged 73yrs and his wife JESSIE KNOX died 1847. Could there be a connection? Any help appreciated. Regards Carmel
