Hi Roger, I have parents of my John WIGHT as Thomas WIGHT ( born abt.1520) and Janet COCKBURN. Janet COCKBURN's father was John COCKBURN. Is this your family? I know it goes back a looooong way. Hi Karen I am interested in your Wight ancestors. My Wights start in Yester and end up in Prestonpans and Haddington. William Wight married Isabel Wilson approx 1760/70. Son James Wight married Mary Sinclair around 1790. Son Andrew Wight born 1792 married Christina Denholme. Son John Wight born 1818 married Margaret Burns. Daughter Christina Wight born 1845 married Colin Archibald. Any connections there?
