I do have Grieves also but still cannot make a connection. Mine is David Gordon B. 1841, father John Gordon B. abt. 1811 and mother Helen Kerr B. 1815. All came from Tranent, Newbattle, Cranston area. David married Catherine Grieve in 1866 in Tranent. Her parents are: Andrew Grieve and Elizabeth Innes. Best Wishes, Elinor.
