Hi Lynne, As a new member to this list I was very interested to hear you had transcribed the 1861 Census for Athelstaneford, as mentioned in your email of 4th November. I would be grateful to join this thread, and wonder if you could possibly do a look up for MORTON. Magdalene Morton was my 2x great grandmother, born Athelstaneford in 1804. Her parents were John and Margaret, both born about 1780, so would be over 80. There were 3 other daughters, Mary (b. 1807), Elizabeth (b. 1810) and Isobel (b. 1821). None of them appear to have married so I wonder if there are any MORTON ancestors in the 1861 Census for Athelstaneford? Many thanks. Best wishes, Peter
