Hello List, I am new to this list. I am researching my ancestor Hall Laing who was a shipwright in the Sunderland area (Monkwearmouth/Bishopwearmouth). I found his marriage certificate, he married Jane Guthrie in Liverpool in 1799. His first son James was baptised in the Scotch Church North Bridge street in Sunderland in 1801 he was described as "son of Hall Laing" shipwright native of Dunbar NB. His second son was called John (I know that Jane Guthrie's father was James). Would anyone have access to the Parish records in Dunbar or have any information concerning Hall.
