Are there any list members who live in the East Lothian area who would be willing to undertake a look-up for me of the name BRIER(S) in any parish register transcripts around the River Tyne area please. I am desperately looking for the birth/baptism (and hopefully the parents) of Alexander BRIER(S) who, according to the LDS IGI/AF, was born “in Scotland 9th September 1769”. I do know that the entry was made in the IGI/AF by one of Alexander’s Mormon Pioneer ancestors (Polly Walker) who received the information from relatives at home in England c1890 and mention was made of him being “known as Scotch Alex from North of the Tyne”.
