Hi to all, It's a long time since I have seen any WHITELAW references so I am re posting my direct WHITELAW ancestors. I have more information on the families of many of their siblings which I will be happy to share if anyone thinks they have a link. I have also collected a fair amount of information on a ROX,and BEW WHITELAW line which I am certain is connected, but have not been able to connect so far. 5X GRANDFATHER is: Alexander WHITELAW, was c. South Leith MLN 17 June 1708, married Janet DAVIDSON, 11 December 1733 in Edinburgh MLN. They had at least 4 children: 4X GRANDFATHER is: John WHITELAW, was b. Edinburgh Canongate MLN 29 May 1740, married Isobel WILSON. They had at least 1 child: 3X GREAT GRANDFATHER is: John WHITELAW b. Edinburgh MLN 9 July 1764, married Margaret GILLIES, 5 December 1794 in Midcalder ELN. They had at least 7 children: 2X GREAT GRANDFATHER is: David WHITELAW, possibly b. Midcalder ELN about 1796, married Katharine MILLAR, 15 July 1820 in Midcalder ELN. They had at least 8 children. GREAT GRANDFATHER is David WHITELAW, b. Midcalder ELN 19 December 1826, married Anne JOHNSTON 17 September 1835 in Glamis ANG. They had 7 children) GRANDMOTHER is Barbara WHITELAW, b.
