Hello fellow East Lothian's I was looking at the OPR for Whitekirk and found a line that I can add to my family tree, that being the family name of DISHINGHAM/DISHINGTON. Andrew? Dishingham was a witness at my ggg grandfather George Gibson bans to Jane Bell (born at Ayton) in may 1853. A James Dishingham married Helen Gibson and had 3 children? (Edward, Jane and George) between 1836 and 1847. The other witness to the bans and Edwards christening was Andrew Gibson my ggg grand uncle. I would like to hear from anyone with a Dishington or Dishingham line in the East Lothian area. I would like to hear from anyone with a connection to a Helen Gibson born in (but not set in concrete!) I don't have a Helen GIBSON, but I do have a Jean GIBSON who married Robert Nisbet at North Berwick on 16/10/1731. Both of these families are my 5 x g-grandparents.
