    2. Hi Doreen, Do you know who the children of your William Tait/Margaret Dishington are? My 4x's great grandparents are William Tait/Isabell Chisholm, married in Humbie, 16 Jun 1787. They had 8 children, one of whom was John Tait, born 8 Apr 1790 married Catherine Brotherstones and then Janet Brown. John and Janet lived in and are buried in the Saltoun Churchyard. 3. Lynn Here are the children of WILLIAM TAIT and Margaret DISHINGTON: Margaret 25/2/1752, William 12/10/1757, Jean 26/3/1760, Christian 11/3/1763 and Isabel 6/7/1765. William Tait 12/10/1857 married Christian Spence on 28/5/1784 and they had 3 children: Jean 15/6/1785, Christian 16/12/1787 and William 24/11/1789. After that , I do not have any more information on the TAITs as I am descended from Christian (1787) and so the name is lost.
